The Penn State Schuylkill Arboretum, encompassing the 90 acres of the Penn State Schuylkill campus, was accredited as an ArbNet Level 1 arboretum in April 2023. The campus has more than 70 documented species among 500 tagged specimens, and the collection continues to grow. This living laboratory is a space for teaching, research, and outreach and hosts yearly events, including the fall Walk in Penn’s Woods and spring Earth Week events.
